01 Reset your password or update your account

Keep your account in working order. Here's what you can do today.

Forgot your password. Tap "Forgot password" on the sign-in screen, enter the email on your account, and we'll send a reset link. Check your spam folder if it isn't there in five minutes.

Sign-in trouble. Make sure your app is up to date. If a verification email hasn't arrived, request a new one — Firebase rate-limits requests, so wait a couple of minutes between tries. Still locked out? Email support@echopulseapp.com and we'll get you back in.

Need to change your email or update other account info. Email us at support@echopulseapp.com. We'll handle it manually for now — in-app self-serve account settings are on our roadmap.
02 Edit or delete a review

Reviews aren't permanent. You can update or remove them, with one important detail about timing.

Edit a review. Open the review, tap the three-dot menu, then Edit. Change your text, attribute scores, photos, or rating. Tap Save when you're done. Edits are allowed within 6 hours of posting — after that, the review is locked in. Edited reviews show a small "Edited" tag with the date.

Update just the rating. Same flow — open the review, tap Edit, adjust the 1–10 attribute scores, save. Your overall rating recalculates automatically. (Same 6-hour window applies.)

Fix a typo. Same flow, within 6 hours of posting. After that, the review can't be re-edited.

Delete a review. Open the review, tap the three-dot menu, then Delete. Confirm and it's gone. Deletion is permanent — if you change your mind later, you'll need to write a new review.
03 Report a review or user

If something's off — spam, harassment, dangerous content — let us know.

Report a review. Open the review, tap the three-dot menu, then Report. Choose the reason: Spam, Harassment, Sexual content, Misinformation, or Fraud & scams. Tap to submit.

Report a user. Open their profile, tap the three-dot menu, then Report. Choose the reason: Spam, Harassment, or Inappropriate Content. If they're sending unwanted DMs, you can also Block them — they won't be able to message you or see your activity.

Block someone. Open their profile → three-dot menu → Block. To unblock later, go to Profile → Settings → Blocked Users.

What happens next. Our team reviews reports and removes content that breaks our Community Guidelines. Repeat or severe violations result in account loss. The person you reported won't know who flagged them.

Urgent issues. If you're being threatened, or if you see content involving a minor or self-harm, email support@echopulseapp.com directly. We treat safety reports as a top priority.
04 Claim my business listing

If you own or manage a local business, EchoPulse gives you a verified profile so you can respond to reviews, post updates, and join the conversation on your own block.

Get started. Visit echopulseapp.com/for-business or, in the app, tap Profile → Settings → Become a Merchant. We'll walk you through the flow.

Verify ownership. You'll need two things: a government-issued photo ID and one document that ties you to the business (a license, utility bill, or professional certification). Upload them in the verification flow. Real humans review every application.

Search for your existing business. During the flow, search for your business name. If a listing exists, you can claim it. If not, we'll create the profile from your verification info.

Decision timeline. We aim to respond within a week. We'll email you and send an in-app notification when your application is decided.

Once you're verified. Reply to reviews. Post updates and promotions to your followers. Edit your hours, photos, contact info, and website. Your verified badge appears across the app so customers know it's really you.

Pricing. Free during early access. We'll announce pricing for new merchants ahead of any change, with plenty of notice for current verified merchants.
05 Read the Community Guidelines

EchoPulse works because the community trusts the community. Here's what we live by, written plain.

Be real. Every account belongs to a real person with a verified email. No burners, no impersonating someone else.

Be honest. Review what you actually experienced. Don't post fake praise, paid reviews, or tactical takedowns of competitors. If you're connected to the business — owner, employee, investor, family — disclose it or skip the review.

Be kind. Disagree, critique, share what didn't work for you. What's off-limits: targeted harassment, slurs, threats, or attacks on individual staff by name.

Be relevant. Review the place, not unrelated topics. Keep posts on local life — eats, services, hidden gems, kid stuff, around town. Off-topic content gets pulled.

Be safe. No doxxing, no threats, no content that exploits or endangers anyone. We cooperate with law enforcement on credible threats.

What gets removed. Anything that breaks the above. Spam. Hate speech. Content involving minors in harmful contexts. Anything illegal.

What gets accounts banned. Severe single violations (threats, doxxing, hate speech, fraud). Repeat smaller violations. Coordinated review manipulation.

Why this exists. Real reviews mean real trust. The neighborhood works when neighbors are real with each other.
